2019 Spouses in Military Conference & Expo

FAYETTEVILLE – The second annual Spouses in Military (SiM) Expo is a free event for the military spouse being hosted by the Greater Fayetteville Chamber’s Military Affairs Committee (MAC) on Thursday, Nov. 7 from 9 AM to 3 PM at the Rudolph Jones Student Center at Fayetteville State University.

This year, the event plans to host about 300 active-duty military spouses for a day of fun and information. It is presented by Piedmont Natural Gas and will introduce milspouses to all that Fayetteville and Cumberland County has to offer. An expo featuring local vendors will run all day. There are also breakout sessions on 10-minutes meals; military etiquette; managing holiday stress; mindfulness; mobile careers; family first aid and creative couponing, scheduled throughout the day.

A complimentary lunch (registration required) sponsored by Houston-Henderson Real Estate, will feature keynote speaker Maxine Reyes. Reyes is Maxine Reyes is a military wife, veterans, singer, author, and Leadership & 360 Wellness & Transformational Coach. A decorated U.S. Army Captain (retired), Maxine who started her career in the U.S. Air Force. She hosts enrichment retreats and workshops for couples via her Happily Joint® Marriage & Families Ministry.

 Registered guests will receive a complimentary swag bag of goodies, and can visit vendor booths in between sessions.
